Battle of Ziegenfeldt (3) - the flanks engage ...

Action erupts on the flanks ....

---oXo---
The jagers on both side exchange skirmish fire ....
The Saxe-Jarlsberg jagers fire forces back their opposition ....
The rest of the Saxe-Jarlsberg jagers fight to attempt to gain control of the farm ...
Over-eager the Saxe-Jarlsberg jagers get too close to the regular Wittenberg troops ...
who left of a stiff volley, which knocks the jagers down by half ...
meanwhile the rest of their unit has gained control of the farm ...
With a flourish of movement and the sound of bugles blowing the Wittenberg lancers move to the charge and drive into the Saxe-Jarlsberg dragoons ....
the Saxe-Jarlsberg dragoons lose the melee and are forced back,  as some hussars come to up to support them...

---oXo---
to be continued....

Wonderful!

These are your own castings?

I have always liked the backdrop behind your game table.

It always amazes me how you manage to use your battlefield to such great effect. Well done, sir!

Must say I like the idea of a backdrop as well.

The Saxe-Jarlsberg army is all cast from PA/NMeisterZinn moulds; and the bulk fo the Wittenberg army from Creartec moulds. I use
artillery pieces/crew from Irregular Miniatures. There are a few Sash & Sabre figs as well. There is one unit of Irregular Miniatures.

The background helps frame the table and gives an illusion of depth (and stops the little guys falling of the table)

Great looking 40mm troops and an excellent battle report. I look forward to more.

I really like the way you've overcome the limitations of the table width by feeding in more troops from behind. Really adds a FOW element to the proceedings.
