The Noverre advance guard column approaches....
They don't waste any time; the light infantry move through the woods on their left flank...while the infantry forms up....
The Munkasse troops stand ready for action.....
The Noverre light infantry move out of the wood and come under fire from the Munkasse infantry in the wood to their front...
The Noverre line infantry advance with their right flank protected by their cavalry....
The Noverre light infantry exchange fire with the opposition....
then attack across the stream....
after exchanging vollies the lead Noverre infantry regiment charged ... the Munkasse regiment held the charge....
the Noverre dragoons rode through the Munkasse land militia and charged on into the Munkasse cavalry..
The Munkasse light infantry were soundly beaten by the Noverre light infantry who ejected what was left of them from the wood
The Munkasse dragoons recovered and put a up fight against the Noverre dragoons...holding them back
The Munkasse line infantry was holding off the Noverre line infantry at the stream; when the Noverre light infantry moved out of the wood unexpectedly round the flank of the land militia who broke and scattered ....
The Noverre infantry exhausted broke of their attack and fell back.....
The Munkasse dragoons eventually lost the melee, the Noverre dragoons pursued them and went after the routing land militia as well.
The Munkasse line infantry regiment managed to withdraw in good order, keeping the Noverre light infantry at bay ....

The Noverre vanguard would however have to reform and rest after the fight, which they did with alacrity in Mikkelheim drinking all the wine and beer they could find.
The battle delayed the invaders enough to allow Prince Michael of Munkasse and his court to evacuate the capital and head for safety in neighbouring Saxe-Jarlsberg.
The Munkasse armed forces re-grouped and made their way to join the Saxe-Jarlsberg army who were coming to their aid.
