In the Braunlandt, on the shore of the river Oudear, at Ruttenhof the locals make preparations for some sort of defence against the Begovian corsairs known to be coming up-river. Nearly all ships at the wharves have left and sought saftey up-stream at Vanderhof ...
A couple of the militia check the warehouses are secured as best they can be ....
barricades have been placed across the exits from the wharves and manned by the militia and locals..
[getting setup for the encounter between river galleys; had fun setting up the wharves and town area]
Railway gun .... working towards a game...

have any ships been sunk in the riverine channels to hinder the enemy corsairs? Have troops been dispatched to bolster the local defense? Are there any shore batteries?
Wonderful wharf-side scene.
Very cool setup!
Great buildings - modelling at its best mate. Would I be right in thinking they are a mixture of scratch built and plastic railway buildings? Cheers Greg
What a lovely set up, very effective indeed. Can you please tell us a little of how you made it ?
defence is up to the local militia; help will come by water - probably river marines and of course a ship from the river flotilla. A small shore battery covers the harbour (see first pic - its on the left hand side).
The buildings are a mix - a few HO railway buildings, a couple of resin ones and the rest scratchbuilt. The crane model is loosely based on the surviving one at Harwich
