Wittenberg Palace - Exterior Improvements

The King arrived back from inspecting the uhlans at Faustenburg and found that the works to enhance the front elevation of the palace had been completed...
The King enjoyed a small concert from the massed guards band before dinner ....
[some decorative stonework has been added to improve the look of the palace - for its original plain look see earlier post. The changes were done using some carefully cut sections from Metcalfe OO/HO paving; I've also updated the banner picture at the top of the blog page]

Oh no getting the builders in ! - it will cost twice as much and take twice as long as the estimate !

.....and they invariably trample all over the flower beds. Looking good though.

With your new banner picture, how did you get it to the size required to fill the top of the blog? I am trying to do the same with my new Conan blog and have managed to crop the photo so it's long and thin, but it is only 3" long. This might be pretty basic stuff, but it's beyond my technical abilities. Any suggestions would be appreciated :-)
