On the road to Noverre, at Vierstrasse.....
---oXo---
With the Saxe-Jarlsberg forces chaseing them back down the road, General Baube has decided to fight a rearguard action. The General has chosen to make a last stand at Vierstrasse. The troops in best condition are deployed around the town (while the rest of the army continues its retreat back to the Duchy)
A small folorn hope, of half a battalion of light infantry holds a farm next to the road some way from the town....General Baube watches for the approaching Saxe-Jarlsberg army....
Then in the distance he can see some cavalry are on the move .... a brigade of dragoons at the head of the Saxe-Jarlsberg vanguard...
to be continued....

Looking forward to seeing what happens next. Great to see the splendid thatch cottage.
An engaging opening.
I like the way your hussars seem to sit down into their horses - it gives a good look of seasoned or even weary campaigners.
