Schaumberg-Lippe (2)

I've finished the Schaumberg-Lippe infantry regiment; these troops along with the cavalry & jagers will be part of the Duchy of Fenwick army.

Janissaries parade ....

As the Begovian army prepares for action, Osram Pasha reviews his elite janissaries ...

Action at Bauerhof....

 After causing mayhem in towns and villages along the border, the tatar raiding party heads back towards Begovian territory...

Riding hard to intercept them the Zinzendorf hussars and some land militia cavalry, led by Count Boritzy..

Nearby Bauerhof, On sighting the tatars, the Wittenberg cavalry deploys ....

The tatars form up for battle and detach a small group ....

who ride on long the line of the Wittenberg cavalry firing their bows , to minimal effect ....

The land militia cavalry charge first followed closely by the hussars and the two sides collide .....

The tatars hold the charge and then start to lose ground ... the melee intensifies ...

the Wittenberg forces have the edge and the tatars break and run and are pursued mercilessly  ...

Begovian army ready ....

 The Begovian army has just about finished bringing its forces back up to full strength; the artillery has just received new cannons - the Begovian commander Osram Pasha and aide watch a practice session ...

 with the artillery in place they are ready to start offensive action again.

Meanwhile just across the Wittenberg border inside the Zinzendorf province, a tatar scout is checking out the lie of the land..

Not far away the main raiding party is on the move...
