Troops from Rutenia....

After some careful negotiation (including supplies of arms from Fenwick and a guarantee of support from the Imperium) the Principality of Rutenia has declared itself independent from Begovia and is now an ally of Wittenberg....

A mounted contingent of troops from Rutenia has travelled to the small monastery at Kernow in the north of Wittenberg's Zinzendorf province.  Watched by some locals and General Waldebeck the Rutenian Battle Banner of St George (held in safekeeping in the monastery for 50 years) is handed over ....
The battle banner of St George is shown to the waiting Rutenian cavalry...
The Rutenian troops leave with General Waldebeck and his escort....
they will travel south-west to join the Wittenberg troops stationed at Partoki in the centre of the Nastrovian Plains.

A solemn moment...I like the craggy countryside of Zinzendorf.

And in the Begovian Capital of Badderhor, the Sultan flies into a rage. Screaming that he will punish this disloyal perfidy (My words, not his...) he orders his available troops mobilized and sent to punish the Rutenians. Meanwhile, in the place the King orders that the nearest available light cavalry proceed to reinforce whatever troops the Rutenians may have at hand while the Royal Army mobilizes.

Nice name for the capital of Begovia :) ... will have to make a note of it on a suitable map...

The Begovian military commander Osram Pasha has order the army to prepare to march - his orders "Teach the Rutenians and the Wittenbergers a lesson they will not forget !"
