The fieldworks are - on a thick card base (part of a old box folder lid). - I used some large gabions from Irregular Miniatures and a resin casting of some gabions; I positioned them till I thought they looked right and stuck them in place. - then added some plastic wood to build up the ground round the base of the gabions. - painted them up and then added some scatter for the grass.
I made up some new fieldworks to allow for use of two mortars or two guns. Here it is shown with mortars manned by some Wittenberg artillery crew.
