Wittenberg - Plan of Palace, grounds and gardens

The King has commissioned a folio of designs for the palace grounds and gardens, the overview page is presented here for your perusal. The new plan shows the retention of some of the formal gardens and existing lake with new landscaping in the english style...

      The state rooms, royal apartments and accommodation for visitors are in the main palace

      Hmm maybe, I thinking about it - but requires some thought about storage of special items and garden sections (we shall see ?)

    Lovely little map....the gardens seem familiar in the layout (Stourheadish perhaps?)

      Yes, the lake area is based on Stourhead - one of my favourite gardens to visit. I particulary like the grotto there.
