I've noticed that a great many SYW Artillery Standards were more elaborate than Infantry or Cavalry Standards for the same nation. I wonder why that is?-- Jeff
I didn't even realize they had standards!...something new to explore!--Dave
As far as I know, artillery standards were not used in the field . . . almost certainly not for individual batteries.I have however seen artillery standards in various publications. They might have been used in camp . . . or simply kept back home. -- Jeff
